Help CenterAI Insight reads the data already in your Caction account and builds a dashboard of charts and plain-language findings for you. You do not need to design any report.
Why use it
- See your whole operation on one page. Jobs, customers and people in one dashboard. For example, how many jobs are overdue and for how long.
- Get findings in plain words, not only charts. For example: "105 open jobs are 90 days or more past the scheduled end."
- No chart set-up. Answer 4 short questions and the AI picks the charts for you.
- It refreshes by itself. The Explore and focus tabs update on the 1st of every month.
- Your data stays with Caction. It is never used to train AI models and is never shared with a third party.
Before you start
- Who can turn it on: the System Champion (a reliable person on your own team, usually the admin who maintains this account).
- Data needed: we advise at least 6 months of jobs with category, status and completion time filled in, and a completed company profile. The more complete your data, the more the AI can show you.
- Beta: AI Insight is in Beta. Each dashboard generation uses AI credits.
How it works
- An admin sets a System Champion for the account.
- The System Champion turns on AI Insight and signs the data processing consent.
- Open Business Intelligence > AI Insight.
- Select New dashboard and answer 4 short questions.
- Wait 10–20 minutes. The new dashboard appears in your list.
Limits
- Each account has 10 dashboard slots. A user can delete only their own dashboards.
- Only the System Champion can create dashboards. Admin users can open the dashboards that exist. There is no sharing link, download or export.
- The AI picks the charts. You CANNOT choose charts by hand.
- The AI only shows a chart when your data has enough in it to say something. Where data is thin, it shows "insufficient data" instead of guessing. As your records grow, more charts appear.
- The dashboard covers the latest 13 months of records.
- AI can misread your data or draw a wrong conclusion. Treat a finding as a question to check, not a fact. See Understand your AI Insight dashboard.
FAQs
Does AI Insight use my data to train AI?
No. Your data is used only to build your dashboard. The AI provider does not keep it after processing and does not use it to train AI models.
Who can see my dashboard?
The System Champion and Admin users in your account. Other users CANNOT open it.
How often does the dashboard update?
The Explore and focus tabs refresh on the 1st of every month. The Insight tab updates when you select Regenerate. Each regeneration uses AI credits.
Why is "New dashboard" greyed out?
Your data is still being prepared after AI Insight was turned on. This usually takes a few minutes. You do NOT need to refresh the page.
What does a dashboard contain?
Explore is always there. Focus tabs such as Backlog, People or Coverage appear only when your data shows something. Insight (Beta) writes a short report. There is also a Present mode for meetings. See Understand your AI Insight dashboard.
