Tagging Asset in Comments

Comment with Asset Tagged is a feature that allows users to mention or link a specific Asset within a comment. This creates a direct connection between the comment and the selected Asset, making it easier to track discussions, updates, and activities related to that speicifc Asset.

a. How to Type In Comments with Assets?

  1. Click on the required Job and scroll down till the Job comment section. You will see an option to choose Asset.

  1. Click on the Asset field and you will see list of Asset available to choose. Click Save.

  1. Once Asset is selected, type the required comment and press Enter.

  1. You will see an orange box below the Job comment, indicating that the comment was specifically tagged to that Asset.

b. How to View Comments in Asset Details?

  1. The easiest way to access the Asset Details page is by clicking the orange box below the Job comment. This will take you directly to the details of the tagged Asset.

  1. Now, scroll down until you reach the Asset Comments section.

  1. You will see a section similar to the Job Comment section, known as the Asset Comment section. This section displays all comments that have been specifically tagged to the Asset.

    In this example, the Asset is PRT - 007, so any comments tagged to this Asset will be listed here. Earlier, a Job Comment "Urgent" was added, and it is now displayed in the Asset Comment section.

 

  1. If the Asset Comment section contains a large number of comments, you can use the Filter By Category button to narrow down the results.

    Simply click "Filter By Category" and select the relevant comment category. In this example, the earlier Job Comment was created under the Spare Part Required category, so only that category is selected.

    The Asset Comment section will then display only comments that belong to the selected category, making it easier to find the information you need.

c. How to View Job Records that include the Tagged Asset?

  1. You will also notice that the Job ID is shown in a green box. Clicking on the Job ID will redirect you to the related Job page, allowing you to view the original job where the comment was made.

  1. You can also click on the History tab to view a list of all Jobs related to this Asset. The History tab displays the Job records associated with the Asset, allowing you to quickly review its activity and track previous work performed on it.
