Adding and Editing Jobs in the Gantt Chart
The Gantt Chart allows users to add new jobs and edit existing jobs directly on the project timeline. It supports job dependencies, auto-scheduling, and lock mechanisms to ensure project integrity.
⚠️ Note: This guide applies only to the Desktop version. Users without appropriate permissions will have view-only access.

Quickly add new jobs and update existing jobs on the timeline.

Maintain Finish-to-Start dependencies between jobs.

Use auto-scheduling to adjust dependent jobs automatically.

Lock jobs to prevent editing before prior dependencies are completed.

Visualize the project timeline with color-coded bars for status, critical path, and assignees.

Adding a Job

Click “+ Add Job” on the project timeline.

Fill in job details:

Category
-
Start Date / End Date
-
Assigned Users

Click Save to create the job.

The new job appears on the timeline and is ready for scheduling.
Editing a Job
1. Editing via Timeline Block

Drag the block to adjust start or end dates.

Auto-scheduling will check the “blocked by” and “blocking” fields if the job is not completed.

Maximum chain for auto-scheduling: 50 jobs.

Note: Time adjustment is ignored; only dates are affected when dragging.
2. Editing via Job Sidebar

Open the job sidebar by tapping the block and edit status, assigned users, or comments.

If the job is locked or has dependencies not completed, certain fields are restricted.

Save changes to apply updates.
